Silver Birch 2024-2025

Welcome to Silver Birch’s Blog.  

I am looking forward to sharing lots of our wonderful learning with you all throughout the school year. The class have all settled in really over the last few weeks and have produced lots of work to be proud of. We have really enjoyed our topic all about WWII and writing recounts as evacuees and women at work during the war. 

This week we have been “making do and mending” an old t-shirt to create our very own drawstring bags. We are still working on our sewing skills but have enjoyed learning different stitches (cross, running and loop). Keep your eyes peeled for our finished designs.

We have also continued our wonderful Literacy Kicks sessions and enjoyed being sports reporters. This week we polished up our editing skills and plan on using these in our own writing.
