Last Monday (30th September) we launched our Harvest appeal.  In our whole school assembly, we learnt about what life is like on a farm at harvest and what harvest means to people.  We looked at where our food comes from and thought about how important farmers are for key ingredients in foods we love (like bread, pasta and crisps!).  As well as thanking farmers for their hard work and the role they play, we remembered that Harvest time is a special time for sharing with people who are less fortunate than ourselves.  In Friday's assembly, we learnt about the important work Food Banks do for communities. We want to thank all of our families for your contributions.  Amanda and the team here will be busy this week, packing up all of the food items ready for collection from St Mary's Food Bank, for distribution to families in our local area.  Please remember, if you need any support, please do not hesitate to contact school or Amanda and we will help in any way we can.
