This half term in Science, the children have been learning all about Sound.  The children have explored how we hear sounds and how sound waves travel.  They have learnt about pitch and amplitude and how the sound waves look as each of these change.

To finish the unit, this week we have explored which materials are most effective at absorbing sound.  The children selected some materials to cover the iPad with and we measured the sound levels using the Decibel meter on their iPads.
